High quality digital reproduction of original paintings from Julie Armbruster’s New Constellations Series. Beginning with the patterns of the stars in the 12 zodiac configurations, Julie converted the stars into eyeballs, then constructed the creatures and environments around the eyeballs. The ancient zodiac signs were originally created by the Babylonians over 3,000 years ago to tell stories and explain that which was unexplainable, Julie’s interpretations/characters attempt to do the same thing; Julie invites the viewer to invent their own stories based upon her imagery.
